Committees

WAX is teamwork

Wharton Asia Exchange is now a 9 year-old organization under the Wharton Council of the University of Pennsylvania. Under this time period the club has burgeoned to over 90 members, with 8 different committees. Each committee has different tasks and responsibilities to handle from one another. These subtle differences allow a student-member to commit to his work of choice. Though these committees may perform differently, they all help contribute to the performance and excellence of this organization. You may learn more about each of these eight groups by selecting from the options to your left.

WAX has created several unique initiatives under the service of its members. The Asia Business Journal is created by the Journal committee, which strives to publish intellectual media and make it available for every willing reader. The Spring Trip committee heads the Spring Tour activity of the organization, which takes a select set of applicants from the University of Pennsylvania to visit countries all over the world, ranging from Tokyo, Dubai, Singapore, and more. The internship committee has worked from the beginning to bring to the school choice jobs and intenrship opportunities from asia. Now the committee works every year to head the Penn Asia Internship Fair, an annual school-wide internship fair that has enjoyed great success from the beginning. The professional committee puts together events and affairs crafted by its members that help companies from around the world reach to the Penn audience, and vice versa. With the Speaker Series, the MBA Mentorship program, and many other company-specific activities, Professional group has enjoyed a world-class experience. None of this is possible of course without the Support groups that pull all these activities together.
