Wharton Asia Exchange is now a 16 year-old organization under the Wharton Council of the University of Pennsylvania. Under this time period the club has grown to over 60 core members, distributed throughout 6 different branches. Each committee takes on different tasks and responsibilities; these subtle differences allow a student-member to commit to his/her work of choice. Though these committees may perform differently, they all contribute to the performance and excellence of this organization. You may learn more about each of these six groups below.
Learn and practice investing skills under the guidance of experienced upperclassmen, while developing a view of the world economy as a member of Global Markets
Corporate Relations Committee
The Corporate Relations Committee works to provide students with pre-professional opportunities by connecting them to corporate sponsors and alumni.
The Communications Committee oversees both internal and external affairs, such as recruitment, marketing, social activities, boot camps, and more in order to establish strong ties between its members and Penn.
The Journal Committee publishes a semi-annual journal catered to anyone interested in business in Asia, each with its own unique theme, such as social impact, national security, retail, and entertainment.
The Professional Committee organizes events to inform students about relevant topics regarding business in Asia and recruiting opportunities.
Spring Trip Committee
The Spring Trip Committee
is responsible for planning and leading participants on a trip to a major Asian city each year during Spring Break. Past destinations have included Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Taipei and Dubai.
