The Corporate Ventures Committee is a sub-division of Wharton Asia Exchange, which connects the Penn community to Asia's business world by planning an annual business-focused Spring Break Trip to a prominent Asian country. In the past, WAX has organized trips to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Dubai, Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo. These trips give students opportunities to interact with professionals and alumni from various fields, ranging from biotechnology to finance, while providing an immersive and educational experience in a foreign culture. After the trip, the Corporate Ventures Committee identifies internships in the target country for the participants. The committee also organizes Fall and Spring Career Treks during the semester. Members of the committee meet regularly and work together to piece together the details of these trips, including finding internships in Asia; selecting participants; scheduling business appointments; and securing hotels and transportation arrangements, while budgeting costs. The team strives to curate enjoyable and educational experiences for participants in all its career treks.
