About Us

The Wharton Asia Journal is an academic publication based at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania that provides a broad view of Asia-related business, political, and social issues.

This journal publishes articles produced by students and faculty that provide reputable and academic insight into Asia’s development as an economy and as a society.

The distinctive cultural, social, and political landscape of Asia makes comprehending the economy of the region an interdisciplinary study. By publishing academic essays by both students and faculty, as well as interviews, book reviews, and other academically-oriented material the Wharton Asia Journal hopes to provide undergraduates, as well as the rest of the Penn community with greater understanding of Asian business and society.
